History
Built in 1961 on the summit of Agios Antonios by the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics of the University of Thessaloniki, as a research centre and weather station for studying Olympus's climate. It stood unused for years. Today it is an emergency shelter, fitted out by the Hellenic Rescue Team with makeshift beds for 15 and a radio.
